Corporate social responsibility focusses on the idea that a business must have a social obligation above and beyond making a profit. It is the continuing commitment by the business to behave ethically and contribute to the development of the society, thereby contributing to the development of the country.
Essentially, this practice helps in improving the quality of life of the workforce and their families and local community and society at large. Keeping this idea intact, several companies are actively participating in the welfare of society. Here are some examples.
